Sally Correia

The Principal

I started dancing quite late (about 10yrs old) after a few years of intensive gymnastic training. The dance bug soon took off and I was thoroughly hooked! Dance was definitely my passion and I haven't looked back since.

I trained at London Studio Centre performing arts school. After graduating, I worked abroad on various dance contracts and had some amazing experiences and visited some beautiful countries. When my dance contracts came to a natural break I decided to work towards my dance teacher qualifications. I studied both IDTA & ISTD dance syllabi and qualified 2 years later.

This now takes me to Encore Dance Academy present day where pupils regularly take ISTD dance examinations and the results are of a very high standard. The most recent addition to my qualifications are in Acrobatic Arts & 'Dancing Memories'.

I am so proud to say I have been the principal of EDA for over 22 years. We are a brilliant team! Go Encore!

Katie Bratt

Dance Teacher

I started studying at Encore Dance Academy at the age of six (previously known as Deeping St James School of Ballet, Tap & Modern) and loved it.

I trained at CPA Studios, a Performing Arts College in Essex, where I studied Musical Theatre. When I returned to assist Sally with classes at Encore I quickly realised my love and passion for teaching. I went on to study for my teaching qualifications at The Dance College, Royston, where I graduated with teaching qualifications (DDI & DDE) in Modern Theatre, Tap & Imperial Ballet. I also teach Street Dance, Contemporary and Flexibility classes.

I am also an Executive Assistant in a construction company...two ends of the scale I know! But I thoroughly enjoy it and keeps me busy during the day. Did you know diggers can dance to?!
I love teaching at EDA and have been here for over 12 years!
